MINI’s first Rebelle Rally entry began its event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 8, 2026, according to the brand’s announcement. Driver Felicia Killman and navigator Erika Ferrer are competing in a specially prepared Countryman Untamed Edition.

The global release is dated October 7, while its text identifies October 8 as the start day. The report concerns an entry and the start of competition, not a final result.

Navigation is the central challenge

MINI describes approximately 1,500 miles of terrain across Nevada, California and Utah, navigated with maps, a compass and a road book rather than GPS. Killman brings American Rally Association experience; Ferrer has competed as a rally co-driver in Mexico.

A BMW Group engineering team prepared the vehicle, with support from equipment partners. The manufacturer presents the event as a proving ground for its adventure-focused edition, but participation alone does not demonstrate its durability or superiority to another SUV.

A rally car is not a showroom specification

The useful distinction for a prospective buyer is between the retail edition and the vehicle entered here. The press image shows added roof equipment, lighting and team markings. Those visible additions should not be treated as standard equipment on a Countryman available from a dealer.

If the edition interests you, ask for the local equipment list, pricing and warranty terms before making a purchase plan. An event announcement does not answer those ownership questions. Nor should a competition-prepared vehicle be used as a substitute for independent road or off-road testing.

Follow the event before drawing conclusions

The organizer’s live coverage page is the place to follow progress. Check the date and stage of each update: an entry announcement, an intermediate score and a final classification are different pieces of information.
