Kia Brings Seltos Hybrid and K4 Hybrid to Paris as European Lineup Expands

Kia presented the new Seltos Hybrid to Europe at the Paris Motor Show on October 12, 2026, alongside the K4 Hybrid. The two debuts broaden the brand’s hybrid offering across SUVs and conventional passenger cars.
Seltos adds electric all-wheel drive
Kia describes the second-generation Seltos Hybrid as its first model with e-AWD. The company says the system improves torque distribution, traction and stability; those are manufacturer claims rather than findings from a Chiefs Review road test.
The announcement positions Seltos alongside the Sportage, Niro and K4 in Kia’s European hybrid range. It does not provide country-specific prices, complete powertrain specifications or a firm customer delivery timetable. A European premiere should not be treated as confirmation of identical equipment or availability in the United States.
K4 production is scheduled, rather than completed
Kia says K4 Hybrid production is scheduled to begin October 15. Hatchback and Sportswagon body styles will use a full hybrid powertrain. Production start and dealer arrival are separate milestones, so shoppers should check their national Kia announcement for ordering details.
The industry context
Kia cites ACEA data showing European registrations up 9.0% from January through August 2026 and a 4.1% market share. Its Paris stand also includes five electric GT models and PV5 passenger and cargo vans, showing that the hybrid expansion sits alongside its battery-electric strategy.
For buyers, the useful next step is a comparison of local pricing, fuel consumption and service coverage once those details are published. Chiefs Review’s truck and SUV specification checklist explains how to compare the exact trim. Our Paris show industry report provides broader market context.
