Porsche’s Nine-Month Deliveries Fall 16% While the 911 Gains

By Chiefs Review Editorial Team
Porsche delivered 178,532 vehicles worldwide from January through September 2026, down 16% from 212,509 a year earlier. Its October 9 announcement shows continued pressure on overall volume alongside growth for the 911.
The model mix tells a different story
The 911 rose 12% to 42,217 deliveries. Cayenne remained the largest model line with 59,586 vehicles, down 2%; that total includes 7,002 electric Cayennes delivered since the summer launch. Macan deliveries fell 21% to 51,025, including 23,029 electric examples.
Porsche reports that production of the combustion Macan ended in summer 2026 and that 718 production ended in October 2025. The company attributes part of the decline to product availability and a strong prior-year comparison for the electric Macan.
Regional figures are not interchangeable
North America remained the largest region at 56,088 deliveries, down 13%. China fell 33% to 21,493. These are worldwide regional delivery figures, not U.S.-only retail results. Porsche says it continues to prioritize value over volume.
What the report does and does not establish
Deliveries are a measure of vehicles handed to customers. They do not by themselves establish revenue, profit, discounting or the strength of a dealer’s inventory. A growing model line can coexist with a declining company total when other models fall further.
For shoppers, the practical next step is still a quote for the exact vehicle. A global volume decline does not establish that a specific car will be cheaper, and the headline cannot tell you whether the configuration you want is readily available locally.
The new delivery report adds measurable context to our separate coverage of Porsche’s strategy through 2035. Read the two together: the strategy describes management’s plans, while this release reports a completed nine-month period. Neither guarantees the next quarter’s outcome.
