Porsche’s October 4, 2026 race report says its No. 6 Porsche 963 won the 10-hour Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta. The driver lineup comprised Kévin Estre, Laurens Vanthoor and Matt Campbell.

A close finish after a disrupted race

According to the manufacturer, the race included heavy rain, 16 safety-car deployments and a red-flag interruption before a final 12-minute sprint. Porsche reports a winning margin of 1.205 seconds.

Keep the championship distinctions clear

Porsche also reports manufacturers’, team and drivers’ success in the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup. That classification should not be confused with the full-season championship: the same report says Porsche finished second in the season’s manufacturers’ standings.

How to follow the result

When reading an endurance-racing report, identify the car number, class and championship being discussed. A team can win its class without winning overall, and a race victory does not automatically establish a season title. Those distinctions make a result much more useful than a trophy headline alone.
