2026 Shelby Super Snake: Power, Price and the Details to Check

Shelby lists the 2026 Super Snake at 830-plus horsepower, with a starting price of $176,835 based on a manual-transmission 2026 Mustang GT with the 401A package. The company says 300 examples are allocated to the United States.
The conditions behind the headline
The horsepower rating is based on 93-octane fuel. Shelby also identifies the supercharger as optional for post-title sales. Buyers should confirm the exact build and transaction structure rather than assume that every car carrying the name has an identical specification.
More than an engine upgrade
Listed equipment includes revised cooling, suspension, a Borla exhaust, 20-inch forged magnesium wheels and a brake-rotor upgrade. Shelby says the vehicle retains factory brake calipers. A Gen 4 5.0-liter Coyote engine and 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger underpin the advertised high-output configuration.
Questions to resolve before ordering
Ask for a written build sheet tying the quoted price to a specific donor vehicle, transmission and options. Clarify what is included in the warranty, which company handles each part of a claim, and whether transport or other charges are additional.
A limited allocation is not a guarantee of future collector value. An ownership decision should also account for insurance, service access and the cost of replacement consumables. Those costs need individual quotes; we do not infer them from the car’s horsepower.
This is a specification overview, not a driven review. We have not independently measured the output or performance.
