Porsche Cars North America delivered 16,026 vehicles in the United States during the third quarter of 2026, down about 13% from 18,403 a year earlier. Its October 9 report puts U.S. retail deliveries at 49,038 for the first nine months, compared with 57,099 in the same period of 2025.

Cayenne and 911 strength could not offset the full decline

The Cayenne was the quarter’s largest Porsche model line in the U.S., rising from 4,294 to 5,837 deliveries, a gain of roughly 36%. The 911 slipped slightly in the quarter, from 3,448 to 3,300, but its nine-month total climbed from 8,872 to 11,778.

  • Macan: 5,519 third-quarter deliveries, down from 6,599; 17,071 year to date, down from 21,162.
  • Cayenne: 5,837 in the quarter, up from 4,294; 15,622 year to date, up from 14,621.
  • 911: 3,300 in the quarter, down from 3,448; 11,778 year to date, up from 8,872.
  • Panamera: 825 in the quarter, up from 790; 2,699 year to date, down from 3,410.
  • Taycan: 537 in the quarter, down from 1,553; 1,616 year to date, down from 3,636.
  • 718: eight in the quarter and 252 year to date, reflecting the planned run-out of the Boxster and Cayman cited by Porsche.

Porsche also reported 12,638 U.S. Certified Pre-Owned sales during the quarter, up 2.3% year over year. That is a separate measure from new-vehicle retail deliveries.

Why this is different from Porsche’s worldwide report

This U.S. report covers retail deliveries by Porsche Cars North America from July 1 through September 30. It is not the same dataset as Porsche AG’s worldwide delivery report. Our earlier article on Porsche’s global nine-month results recorded 178,532 worldwide deliveries, down 16%.

Reading the reports together shows why geography and reporting scope matter: Cayenne grew sharply in the U.S. quarter even while Porsche’s worldwide total declined. Neither release establishes transaction prices, dealer discounts, inventory levels or profit by model.

What shoppers can take from the numbers

The report confirms where U.S. retail volume moved, but it does not prove that a particular model will be easier or cheaper to buy. Availability still depends on the configuration and dealer. The steep 718 decline is also not a direct measure of lost demand because Porsche attributes it largely to the planned product run-out.
