RADwood NorCal Adds a Free Evening Show and a New Y2K Car Class

Mix Master Mike, announced headliner for RADwood NorCal 2026

RADwood NorCal will return to Alameda, California, on Saturday, October 24, with a new free evening format, a full-throttle driving exhibition and a broader definition of the cars it celebrates. Hagerty announced the updated program on October 9.

A free show with advance registration

The event is scheduled for 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gold Bar Hangar at Alameda Point. Admission is free, but attendees must reserve tickets in advance. Hagerty Drivers Club members may enter at 3 p.m.

RADwood’s traditional focus is on vehicles and pop culture from the 1980s and 1990s. The 2026 NorCal event will add a “Millenia” class for cars from 2000 through 2010, expanding the show into the early Y2K era.

Cars in motion, not only on display

A new Wheels in Motion exhibition will put selected vehicles into full-throttle demonstration runs rather than keeping every car static. Announced display classes include kei cars, tuners, movie cars and a Mustang-versus-Camaro grouping.

Organizers say hundreds of period-correct cars, trucks and motorcycles are expected. The event will also retain RADwood’s period-dress contest and add food trucks and an evening music program.

Mix Master Mike headlines the music program

Bay Area DJ and producer Mix Master Mike is scheduled to headline. He is known for his work with the Beastie Boys and the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, making the booking closely aligned with the event’s late-1990s theme. Pioneer is listed as the event’s sound partner, and Goodyear is the presenting sponsor.

The latest announcement changes the event from a conventional ticketed daytime car show into a free community-focused evening program. It also shows how collector-car events are beginning to treat early-2000s vehicles as part of an established enthusiast era rather than simply used cars.
